Merlot's Study of the Landscape and the Future of Boxed Wines
As you have been able to see from our letters to far afield friends in Africa, we are well on our way, if you will. It appears that things are starting to happen for us, here at the Boxed Wine Association of North America, and Parts of Chile. It is only a matter of time until our dreams are made real.
Undoubtedly, we are well on our way to building our new wine distribution channel in the United States, both clicks and mortar based, if you will, featuring the finest boxed wine selections, sold to the most cultured tastes in the country. Our Connecticut wine stores will certainly be the hub of culture on North America's eastern sea board, and a richly deserved oasis for the well bread to sample great boxed wine, in extraordinary surroundings, in good company, if you will. The pedigree of individual who shall be drawn to Merlot and Voignier's boxed wine sanctuaries shall not only be well bread, of good character and sound judgment, but also accomplished both professionally and personally.
Our boxed blends shall reach out across the land like a beacon to cultured individuals who are currently starved for destinations that offer more than over roasted coffee, with all the elements of a milkshake and the kick of a jackass. I refer, of course, to the Starbucks phenomena, which has a nation of overworked, over stressed, and overwhelmed free people something to drink that magnifies there sense of unrest and discomfort, in spite of those big leather chairs and piped in international melodies. Our wine stores shall be open in stark contrast, a refuge from the hub bub of a modern life in decline.
Our boxed wine selections shall dazzle the cultured elite, who shall come to rely upon our good taste to bring them respit from man's discomfort in civilization, if you will. Gone is a time when Otto the Day Laborer made himself gallon's of "Dago Red" to drink at his weekly card game with his goumbas, if you will, while selling his surplus to the countless unfortune Americans who where prevented by prohibition from drinking one of life's greatest pleasures. Today, boxed wines are widely available, and the quality is far superior to anything Otto and his hod carrier friends ever dreampt possible.
Using science and artisty, modern wine makers employ technological advances to produce some of the finest tasting blends that have ever graced the planet. Modern boxed wine production results in flavors that are simply orders of magnitudes better, richer, and more grande than anything ever to have been poured in earlier times. Modern boxed wine has come a long way. It is our mission to meet it half way, by opening the finest chain of boxed wine stores North America has ever known.
As I write, Voignier is meeting with leading modern architects a to draw up plans that will measure up to the task, as described here. We wait, with great anticipation, to hear from our African business partners who shall deliver the necessary financing to make Merlot's dream a reality. It shall not be long before Merlot is setting the standard for taste and decormum across North America and parts of Chile, placing boxed wine in its rightful place among the finest beverages from which America can choose, whether to unwind from a day of sailing the Long Island sound, or washing down Joe Pepe's Pizza in New Haven, if you will. We anticipate serving more than a few United State Congress persons and celebrities in our stores, on their way to Joe Pepe's brick oven pizza.
Also as I write, Emily, my cabin maid, is sending invitations to many of the right people who will surely beat a path to our door. We await a time with baited breath, when the finish boxed wines, and made American cheeses and smoked meats are served from tasteful Crate and Barrel serving trays to this nation's most prominent "A list" individuals, if you will. It will most certainly be a grand day for America boxed wines, cheeses and smoked meats, their producers, marketer, sellers and gourmands everywhere.
